NOMAD partners with the National Wild Turkey Federation resulting in some great hunting apparel.
Nomad Outdoors partnered with the National Wild Turkey Federation to bring turkey hunters the NWTF hunting apparel collection. Combining top quality apparel with a top shelf organization benefits all turkey hunters with a portion of the proceeds from all NWTF licensed purchases being donated to the NWTF Save the Habitat, Save the Hunt initiative.
With turkey season being in the spring where warmer weather is prevalent, NOMAD designed this NWTF exclusive apparel with lightweight materials allowing for comfort while hunting those warm days, especially when on the move. The fit of the apparel also allows for layering on those cooler mornings. Unlike many apparel companies, Nomad offers a variety of very functional pieces in both Mossy Oak Obsession and Mossy Oak Bottomland, and all are available in sizes from small to XXX-large.
One of my favorites is the ¼ zip lightweight, loose fit, Nomad Cooling Hunting T-Shirt. The moisture wicking properties with breathable panels in the back and through-out the long sleeves offers comfort when layers or wear it alone. The long sleeve cooling tee is the same design with a crew neck and also offers a loose fit. Both shirts incorporate SilverZ scent suppression system making this apparel the perfect early archery season hunting apparel in warmer climates. For cooler days, layer the cooling hunting t-shirt with the long-sleeve button front shirt featuring two button-down chest pockets and a button-down collar. The shirt is a durable lightweight, poly mini-ripstop material.
Pair any combination of shirts with the Nomad NWTF pant made of durable lightweight, poly mini-ripstop material durable enough to withstand the briars and thickets a hunter may encounter while pursuing turkey. The six-pocket design gives the pocket storage options. The brass button and loop closure, YKK zipper and belt loop waist offers a secure fit. The roomy cargo leg pockets are darted, with a button-down flap, to keep contents from spilling out when climbing or crawling. Articulated knees and a sewn-in, double material seat panel allow for comfort and durability. The boot cut pant legs allow for wearing over boots or tucked into taller boots to keep pant legs dry from dew on the grass or from traversing creeks, ditches or other waterways. The lightweight poly material is breathable, dries fast, and offers durability in all the right places.
Nomad didn’t stop there; the company completed the series with a neck gaiter that offers a breathable full-length front panel that will not fog up your optics or eyeglasses. To finish off the ensemble, a lightweight glove made of wicking materials featuring gussets at the fingers for a perfect fit, a grip palm, a cuff for additional coverage, and smartphone compatible index and thumbs. Nomad didn’t cut any corners with “gear built by hunters for hunters.”
I recently hunted the warm and humid weather of Florida where base layers were necessary for the early mornings with temperatures that quickly rose making layers nearly unbearable. The breathable and quick drying properties of the material were appreciated features. The mini rip-stop material did not bead, pick, or rip when walking through the brambles and crawling through the briars. I also really like having the option of two unique Mossy Oak camouflage colors for different terrains of the various states I will hunt this season. Each piece reflects the NWTF logo which can be worn proudly for the sake of conservation and passing on turkey hunting for future generations. The price of the individual pieces in the collection are extremely reasonable offering any hunter’s budget some relief. The design options, features, material, and affordability are sure to make NOMAD NWTF Apparel Collection a favorite for turkey hunters and even for those hunters that hunt warm climates early fall archery season.
